Great Paxton Church

Just another weblog

Update at Great Paxton

Sorry not to have posted here for while – but its lovely to see so many visitors. I really hope to add to the pages on the site with aspects of Great Paxton Church history…… its all to do with time! There never seems to be enough.

Work is progressing well with the project. Glenn and Co have been working off site on the new staircase and servery units – but have also been on site to complete the tiling in the tower base on the lowered floor. He told me the tiles that had been ordered were not all the same size, so Lance had to grade them all and cut them to fit. The result though is very pleasing with some clever patterned effects – which will make spending a penny even more of a pleasure!

Tomorrow we are meeting with Glenn and our architect to look at some practical questions such as – where are the new sockets going etc.

If you have a moment, why not go and enjoy the churchyard this autumn – with the leaves turning, it is really beautiful – and the Peace roses are still in full bloom.
