View of Holy Trinity from the old orchard and the medieval tower screen

great paxton church - 2

Here is a view of Holy Trinity looking across from the old orchard – the church is just visible from the Main Road

Lovely to welcome some visitors to our service last Sunday and thanks to Nick for leading worship – much appreciated.

This Sunday  August 2nd there will be Prayer Book Communion at 9.00am with hymns.

The rather enigmatic old screen in the tower base- thought to be the former rood screen across the chancel arch. The photograph shows where an image to St Mary was once held/fixed. The screen  will  be carefully extended when the new  entrance to the tower base is formed as part of our Living Water Project. The tower base will house the new disabled toilet, have a new ringer’s floor and upper screen and introduce an  eagerly awaited flower arrangers sink – long have the stirling band of flower girls waited for this new arrival!
